Monday Breakfast (8am): Fruit and yogurt Snack: Toast Lunch (12 noon): Spaghetti bolognaise and salad. Fruit salad Tea (3.30pm): Crackers, cheese cubes, slices of banana and melon Tuesday Breakfast (8am): Pancakes and strawberries Snack: Toast Lunch (12 noon): Fish pieces, boiled potatoes and peas. All meals are cooked freshly onsite, using fresh ingredients. Menus are developed by staff that have completed childhood food and nutrition training, therefore ensuring that all menus are balanced and support children’s growth and development. Children are encouraged to try new foods to develop their taste buds. All meals and snacks are served ‘family style’ where the children are encouraged to socialise with their friends and carers. Family style dining encourages children to try new foods and self-serve their own meals and snacks. We celebrate and value diversity with exciting menus which accommodate child’s individual needs. All allergies, intolerances and cultural needs can be catered for, we request that parents/carers keep us informed of any changes to their child’s dietary requirements or preferences. Younger babies are given their bottles of milk as and when required to suit their individual needs. When our little ones are ready to start weaning we will be with you both every step of the way. We were inspected by the food standards agency in June 2018 and obtained a 5 star rating. All staff hold food hygiene certificates, which are updated every 3 years. Cooking is a large part of structured activities at Teilos Tots, children are given opportunities to pop on an apron and get cooking.
We provide fresh milk and water throughout the day to ensure that the children are always well hydrated. Menus change weekly and seasonally throughout the year.

We hold a 5* rating with The Food Standard Agency and follow all guidelines, procedures and policies (June 2018) All staff hold food hyigene certificates, which are updated every 3 years. We also teach children about food-related hygiene, for example, washing their hands before eating We play simple games teaches our children the reasons why some foods are healthy / some are not and we encourage them to make healthy food choices.
